GENERAL ENGINEERING (Expired)

Jordan Valley Water Conservancy Districtmore about Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District

Dec 31, 2012 12:00 AM

Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District (District) invites Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms who desire to provide engineering services to the District. Firms with an SOQ currently on file with the District are welcome to submit a new SOQ. The District will retain and consider submitted SOQ for five years. SOQs submitted prior to 2007 will be discarded. This is a general announcement required by District policy and not related to any particular project. There is no deadline date. The District's practice has been to openly advertise larger projects on its web site without requiring an SOQ to be on file. The District routinely requires study, design, and construction management services related to: water resource studies, pipelines, pump stations, wells, surveying, landscape architecture, right-of-way acquisition, groundwater development, concrete and steel reservoirs, water treatment processes and plant repairs/improvements, water treatment plant construction, water rates, water rights, water quality studies, Safe Drinking Water Act compliance, secondary water systems, electrical, instrumentation, SCADA/telemetry systems, steel and concrete structure coatings, corrosion control, geotechnical services, structural and seismic engineering, architecture, environmental projects, construction management, construction materials testing, and other related services. A list of projects in the current capital projects can be seen on the District's web site: www.jvwcd.org by clicking on "Engineering Projects". New projects will have a "New" symbol next to the project name for sixty days after initial posting. An SOQ shall address the following items: 1) Name of the firm, location of all offices, and specifically the location of the principal place of business in Utah. 2) Age of the firm, and average number of employees over the past five years in the Utah office. 3) Education, training, qualifications and availability of key employees of the firm, specifically those in the Utah office, pertaining to the types of work anticipated by the District. 4) Experience, special technical capabilities and expertise of the firm, and available equipment necessary or useful in pertinent types of professional work. 5) References from at least five clients and previous projects, including two from the preceding year. 6) Any other relevant information. Selection of engineering firms to which requests for proposals will be sent, will generally be based on SOQ received by the District, in accordance with the District's "Procurement of Professional Services Policy". The District's Procurement of Professional Services Policy is part of the Administrative Policy and Procedures Manual which can be located under the "About/Legal and Policies" section of Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District's web page at www.jvwcd.org. SOQs shall be submitted in electronic format (PDF) to: Shane K Swensen, PE, Engineering Department Manager at shanes@jvwcd.org.
